The bundle for the Sapphire 3850 is pretty good, as it contains
Cyberlink's PowerDVD and DVD Suite, which enables high-definition
playback supporting the GPU acceleration scheme known as AVIVO.
Also included are the full version of 3DMark06, and Valve's Black Box,
with Team Fortress 2, Portal and Half-Life 2 Episode 2. Free games
and software are always a plus, especially when they are well known.
The connectors and converters include, from top to bottom: a Molex to
PCI-e power converter, TV-Out to Component, TV-Out to Composite, DVI to
HDMI, DVI to VGA, and a Crossfire bridge. The only difference in
the bundle from the 3870 Toxic is there is no HDMI cable here.
Layout:
The layout from the 3870 Toxic to the 3850 is very much the same, other
than the different coolers. The Toxic has more heatsink, while the
3850 utilizes a larger fan.
The back side of the 3850 is also very similar. If you look
closely, you can see that the PCB is not quite the same, but very close.
On the rear side of the card, we can get a nice close view of the extra
heatsink, as well as the 6-pin power connector.
On the front side, we can see the Dual DVI ports, as well as the TV-Out
that looks similar to an S-video plug.
