Box of Goodies

The X1800 GTO comes with all the cables you could possibly need, even DVI adapters. Of course you also get the handy User's Manual and drivers disk. The one thing you wont find in this box is a game, or even a coupon. What you get is what you see...

Up Close

One of the first things I noticed about this card is that is has dual monitor capability. This is one feature that once you try, you'll never go back to a single monitor again. It's nice to be able to play a game on one monitor while keeping programs such as Messenger and Ventrilo running on the other monitor. Web and graphics editing is also much easier to perform with two monitors.

ATi and Connect3D have kept the size of this card down too. Like my X1800XL, the GTO only takes up one slot, not 2 like my old X850XT. However the weight of the X1800 is still noticeable due to the heatsink. The massive copper heatsink nearly covers the entire card.

At this angle, you can clearly see the solid copper heatsink and air intake port. ATi also added a thin aluminum heatsink for extra cooling.
