Doom3

Doom 3 is still a great benchmark.  I used the timdemo demo1 command to benchmark and the test was ran two times with the second score recorded.  The tests were ran four times at two different resolutions.  The system clock was at 250MHz throughout the tests.  The overclocked results show the video card overclocked to 645MHz core / 400MHz memory.

Far Cry

I used the Far Cry benchmark tool provided by Hardware OC.  The demo used was the Pier demo.  Testing was preformed the same as Doom 3.  As you can see from all of the benchmarks, this card isn't going to break any records.  However, using the correct settings paired with the 512MB of video memory will give you playable frame rates in most games.  The correct settings are not going to be with all of the eye candy turned on and the resolution cranked.

Conclusion

The Connect3D X1300Pro is an extremely nice card for $100.  Now you aren't going to have the ultimate gaming rig built around this card, but it will give you playable frame rates on most of the newer games.  Don't buy this card expecting to have all of the eye candy turned on and the resolution cranked, that's not going to happen.  AVIVO is a very nice feature of this budget card.  AVIVO will give you sharper images, crisper text and more vivid color.  Overall this is a very nice card, not a card you would want to have if you're a gamer.  This card would be an excellent choice for a media based computer and the occasional gamer.  For only $112, it's a lot of features for little cash.
