Next on our list of tests is a new one here at the
Club. Called Unigine, this benchmark aims to be a vital part
of any overclocker's toolbox. The beauty of Unigine is in its
flexibility, as it will allow you to benchmark under a variety of
rendering schemes. Find out more about Unigine
here.
For the purposes of our testing, we ran the
benchmark just like last time; the 4890 and 4870 both ran it at
1680x1050, 4xAA, and all other settings maxed out.
Here is the first run:

Though the Render mode is reported as being
Direct3d10, the benchmark actually does support 10.1 options, thus
we enabled them for the test.

The 4890 takes a lead here again, with a 22%
advantage in both FPS and score. We are really starting to see
how the extra overclocking headroom of the RV790 really helps in
benchmarks.
