Jetway X1950 Pro 256MB PCI-E Video Card

With the next generation of
high end cards right around the corner from both ATI and NVIDIA its
hard not to get excited about upgrading your graphics card, but not everyone is looking at the high end solutions and the often
unreal pricing that goes along with them. Thanks to the
shifting market some outstanding video cards like today's
Jetway
X1950 Pro, available at
Geeks.com, can provide outstanding performance without breaking the
bank. If you are dragging your feet at spending hundreds of dollars
on your video card or taking advantage of the latest price drops to
add a second ATI card for crossfire, you owe it to your self to
check out this budget performer. Take a look!

The Jetway packaging for their ATI Radeon X1950
Pro is one of the most basic I have ever seen. The all black
box with just a peek at the heatsink provides a teaser at what lies
within. Our box survived a battle with the local delivery guys
and earned a striped scar for the trouble.

Even the back of the packaging provides only the
basic specifications needed on the card. The sides of the box
provide some of the basics as well.

With the packaging out of the way, lets take a
look at the actual card. The Jetway design has not strayed far
from the reference design. Lets take a look at the specifications.

The ATI website divides their cards into two
different categories: Mainstream performance,
casual gaming and High performance, extreme gaming. As you can
see for this chart offered by the ATI
Support Wizard, the X1950 Pro is positioned as part of the high
performance bracket.
Jetway offers the X1950Pro in several different
varieties from the standard ATI design we are reviewing today to
models with 512MB of memory or even GDDR4 models.
