     Brining it all together

As I mentioned before, the tubes were attached to the components coming out of the box. All we had to do was mount them. The block provided with the AMD kit is the same MCW6000 that is used with every other kit in the Swiftech arsenal. The mounting clip for the Socket 754/939/940 water block will require the removal of the heatsink retention mechanism. Too, you may want to consider using the metal retention base that Swiftech will bundle with the kit to help keep stress on the back of your motherboard to a minimum. The metal base is larger and stronger so that it disperses the stress crated by the large amount of spring pressure exerted by the mounting of the waterblock clip.

The low profile design of the water pump allows me to mount the reservoir very low in the enclosure. I consider this almost like a safety net because if the reservoir does develop a leak, there is nothing but the bottom of the case for the water to drip onto. As an added precaution, I use a silicone sealant on the fittings -- just to make sure.
