Universal Waterblock

Remember back when Swiftech made nothing but heatsinks? Swiftech heatsinks were, and always have been the poster child for quality. In fact they were so good, we compared all other brands of heatsinks to Swiftech's quality.

Here we have Swiftech's universal waterblock. Although it's not as fancy looking as some waterblocks out there, the quality and workmanship of Swiftech waterblocks are unmatched.

Our kit came with hoses preinstalled in the waterblock.

Our kit comes with a couple mounting bracket options. One for AMD and the other is for our LGA-775. Unfortunately our mounting hardware required us to remove the motherboard, but there really is no other way since LGA-775 motherboards have no mounting brackets.

Video Card Cooling

I decided to go ahead and install my old GPU water block while I was tackling this project. It's easier to do it now than later when the system is already installed and water flowing. Running the GPU water block in series with the CPU water block will cause increased water temperatures leading to higher CPU core temps, but since my X850XTPE runs so incredibly hot, water cooling is the logical choice.
