Installation

This has got to be the easiest water-cooler I have ever installed.  Corsair claims they can install the unit in 8 minutes and 14 seconds.  I do not doubt that claim, however to remove the heatsink I had installed required removing the motherboard so it took me a little while longer.  This is in no way Corsairs fault.  Once I had the heatsink removed and the board installed, installation of the Nautilus 500 only took about 10 minutes.  I took an extra minute or two to trim the tubing for a more exact fit to my case.

Installation of the block retaining clips was extremely easy and did not require removing the board.  All that was required was to push the pins through the holes in the board.

The water block is held in place by a piece of pre-cut foam and the metal retaining plate.  The retaining plate simply snaps onto the pins you have already installed on the board and the foam allows for the proper pressure to be applied.

All that is left to do is run the tubes through the included PCI pass-through bracket, attach the power cables and hook them up to the main unit.  Make sure you read the owners manual to get the exact instructions.

Time to fill it up.  Put the magic green juice that Corsair provides and then fill the rest of the tank with distilled water.  After you fill the tank with distilled water, turn it on an bleed the system.  Have some more distilled water handy as you bleed and keep filling until all of the air bubbles are out of the system.

All set and ready to go.
