The front of the power
supply has 6 ports for SATA and Molex connectors and two ports for the
additional PCI-E cables.
Installation

Installation was normal for
a power supply. The only thing you need to be aware of is the extra
length of the Galaxy. I'm using a Lite-On DVD burner in this rig and
you can see the lack of space between the drive and the power supply.
Lite-On drives are typically shorter than other drives. If I had a full
length DVD drive in here, I would have had to move it to a different
drive bay. Even with the Lite-On in here, I still can't add the modular
cables without sliding the DVD drive out of the way.

The first thing that I
noticed was the lack of a voltage switch. Most power supplies have a
switch on the back to switch from 110 to 220. The Galaxy is completely
automatic, just plug it in and turn it on. The red, square button and
white LED is part of the Power Guard system. The LED changes colors to
indicate normal operation and errors. There is also an internal buzzer
and under abnormal conditions, Power Guard will turn off the power
supply to protect your system. The red square is a reset button.
Testing
Instead of relying on a
monitoring program in windows, I'll be using my trusty multimeter and
measuring the voltages directly from the connectors.

Conclusion
This is an incredible power
supply. This power supply will keep your computer running for a long
time and probably through several upgrades of the other components.
This power supply gives you solid voltages on all of the rails with
plenty of amps. Enermax has taken this power supply a step ahead of
everyone else and has made it compliant with 2007 EPS12V standards. The
Galaxy will power Quad CPUs, Quad Core CPUs and Quad SLI. If you have a
computer that is too powerful for this power supply, then you are a
computer God and I will bow down before you.
