Just a few short months ago we were introduced to a company called
Ubicom and their StreamEngine technology. StreamEngine technology
has changed the way we look at wireless networking. Wireless
networking has done great things for the computer industry, but it
had its limitations. The biggest obstacle being speed and then lag
at a close second. Thanks to Ubicom wireless networking is now just
as good, if not better than a wired network. What Ubicom's
StreamEngine has done is
eliminated the lag and breakup
problem mass data transfers found in online gaming and other
voice/video applications. Yes, I said online gaming. Online gaming
over wireless networks was once impossible due to the lag in data,
but thanks to Ubicom those days are over.
For more detailed information about
StreamEngine, please go to the
Ubicom website.

Today we have the latest Draft
802.11n offering from EnGenius in the form of the ESR-9710 Wireless-N Gigabit Router.
Some of you network administrators may already be familiar with EnGenius. EnGenius is well known for their long range, outdoor
wireless communications products solutions. I myself have used
EnGenius outdoor wireless receivers. Established in 1999, EnGenius
Technologies, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Senao
International, a Taiwan Fortune 200 company, founded in 1979, with
over 1000 employees. Although they are owned by Senao, EnGenius
has four offices in North America; Toronto, Los Angeles, Miami, and
Seattle.
EnGenius products are even engineered and designed in
Seattle for the North America market.

Let's take a closer
look at EnGenius's offering to see if it would be a wise option
for gaming and computer enthusiasts.
