The manual goes into pretty specific details on how to configure the GameNet modules for all sorts of configurations. The most basic setup is to plug your cable/DSL modem into one module and plug your game console or PC into the other. According to the manual, all you'll have to do is plug them in and you'll be able to start using them right away.

When the configurations get a little more complex you might need to go into the administration pages of each module in order to get them to "see"  and permit your network traffic. There are a slew of other functions that can be performed in the admin section as well such as module firmware updates and security configuration.

One of the more complex setups covered in the manual is also perhaps one of the most common that enthusiasts may want to use. Attaching one GameNet module to a multi-port router and attaching the other GameNet module to a multi-port switch. That just so happens to be the configurations I plan to test.

One last note about GameNet configuration. The GameNet modules are based upon the Corinex AV200. these same modules are also used in another one of their products; a HD Video over power line kit. So it would be possible to mix and match units and kits.
