If
you've purchased other MP3 players to only be disappointed later that it
had software flaws or wasn't upgradeable I've got good news, the Bomba
100 as well as other Zotac products are Firmware upgradeable with full
support on the PC
Partner website.

Okay, the Bomba 100 is pretty cool, but how does it sound? Put it this
way, you wont be disappointed! At first I was worried about flat sound
with no base, but those worries quickly went away once I discovered the
build in 10 setting EQ.

Even the included ear phones sound incredibly good. I even tried the
Bomba 100 with my $200 set of studio head phone and the Bomba 100 had no
problem what so ever driving the massive headset and delivering
incredibly clear highs and shaking base. Impressive...

The
USB port for uploading music files or for storing and transporting
files. Drivers? What drivers? The Bomba 100 is driver free with Windows
ME/2000/XP.
When it comes to the FM tuner, the Bomba 100 sounded very good, but
searching for a radio station proved to be a little cumbersome. However,
things get much better once you've scanned through the frequencies and
saved your favorite stations.
Conclusion
I'm
so impressed with the sound quality of the Bomba 100 that I could rant
and rave all day, however there are a couple small downfalls to this
product. The first thing I noticed was the twitchy FM tuner. When trying
to tune to my favorite radio stations, the Bomba 100 had a tendency to
skip several local stations. Not the end of the world, but a it was a
little annoying. Another thing I find myself disliking is the small dot
matrix screen. Even though it is back lighted, it is still a little hard
to read. The good thing is you can upgrade to the Bomba 200, which has a
color screen that is much easier to read, but then again you have to pay
a little extra.
Overall, I'm very impressed with the Bomba 100. It far surpasses many
MP3 players I've used in the past. It has superior sound and one of the
largest file capacities in it's class. Very nice job PC Partner, you
have an excellent product that is sure to satisfy!
