     SATA RAID or non-RAID are options with the SATA on the K890. We found the VIA on-board is quite a bit faster than the Promise, but the Promise controller would probably utilize more advanced SATA RAID features better.

Just like the K8TPro-939, The K890 is just an abundance of everything minus an on-board TV Tuner.

 Soltek managed to give us some paste on its northbridge, although we must note that the chipset doesn't emit a lot of heat even overclocked.
