BIOS

When you first turn the computer on, you are instantly greeted by the above splashscreen.  The P5E3 Premium has a new feature called Express Gate.  Using your mouse, you can select to get on the Web, Skype, enter the BIOS, boot to OS or shutdown.  It's pretty cool that you have mouse function as soon as the computer starts.  If you chose to do nothing, after 10 secs it will continue to load into the OS as normal.  10secs is the default time, but in the BIOS you can adjust that time.  We'll talk about Express Gate later on, right now let's talk about the BIOS.

This is a very familiar site to most of us.  The AI Tweaker tab is where all of the fun takes place, though.  So, let's look at that tab.

There are enough voltages here to make even the most diehard enthusiast happy.  Way more voltages then you'll ever need and tons of tweaking options.  Loadline Calibration is something that's fairly new.  It helps eliminate voltage Droop to the CPU.  It ensures stable and optimal CPU voltage under heavy loading. It helps overclockers enjoy the motherboard's ultimate OC capabilities and benchmark scores.  If there is a setting that you're not familiar with, please do some research on it before you start playing with the settings.
