Up close...

One of the nice things ABIT has implemented in their newer boards is better cooling for the northbridge chipset. This sideways mounted fan pushes more air than if it were mounted downwards blowing air onto the board.

ABIT is pushing Serial ATA pretty hard. Here you'll find 4 SATA ports and only one IDE port.

Standard PCI slots are all but gone these days. Only two slots remain. PCI Express is now the technology to have...even though we haven't even begun to use it's capabilities.

I'm not sure LGA 775 is here to stay. I doubt if Intel has even made up their minds...but it is easier to install a CPU and there are no more pins to damage.

Above is the Intel Pentium 4, LGA 775 processor. No more pins...

Here you'll find all of your audio, USB, Gigabit LAN, S/PDIF IN/OUT, mouse and keyboard and printer ports. Sometimes I ask myself why in the world is anyone still using printer ports? Or even PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports? USB is the only way to go...
