Testing Continued

Memory Bus Speed: 868MHz
Memory Voltage: 2.1v
Memory Timings: 4-4-4-15-1T
CPU Bus Speed: 325MHz
Final CPU Clock Speed: 2.93GHz

This time I left the memory at its defaults and overclocked the CPU only. Here the OCZ Memory really starts to shine! Sandra shows an impressive increase in the score with 5995/6000.  With the FSB up to 325 MHz we still have some wiggle room left.

Memory Bus Speed: 880MHz
Memory Voltage: 2.2v
Memory Timings: 4-4-4-15-1T
CPU Bus Speed: 333MHz
Final CPU Clock Speed: 2.97GHz

At nearly 3GHz I finally topped the system out. At this speed our OCZ PC2-6400 reaches a very nice 880 MHz.   Anything more than this caused the test system to become unstable, but with a Sandra score of 6300/6345, that's a 17% jump over the stock numbers.  With some cooling changes and a little more patience I may have been able to reach 900 MHz, not to bad!  Not too bad for memory with a price tag under 300 for 2 Gb.

Conclusion

OCZ's PC2-6400 Titanium Edition brings the same impressive performance we have come to expect from OCZ.  The addition of EPP technology makes this the perfect choice for today's top nForce motherboards.  With the default timings, this memory is a solid performer but it would be a crime to not push these sticks to their full potential!  Memory like the Titanium Series DDR2 brings me back to the reason I got into overclocking in the first place; taking a good product and tweaking every last bit of extra performance out of it!  The OCZ PC2-6400 Titanium RAM offers stability and performance you would expect from RAM costing much more.  I highly recommend the OCZ PC2-6400 Titanium 2Gb kit to anyone who wants to get the biggest bang for their buck.
