Crucial System Scanner

Alas, here is a nice look at our new little kit.  The only discernable difference between this and the original Ballistix is the DDR3 tag on the logo, and of course the location of the notch.  A sticker on the face indicates the model number, as well as timings and supported voltages.

The backside is nearly identical, with a different sticker representing serial number.

(Imbedded video does not work with IE8. Please try IE7 or Fire Fox.)

One thing has changed with the newer Ballistix; the LEDs appear to be much more active.  The modules go through an initialization sequence at bootup, which is what is being shown in the above video.  Just as with the original Ballistix, the motion of the LEDs changes as the various memory loads change.
