The first thing that I
noticed was PMI packages the memory nicely to prevent damage while in shipping.
The next thing I noticed was the sharp looking custom copper heatspreaders. As
we know from past experience, these heatspreaders are more for looks than for
performance. However, there is some proof that they may help when overclocking
at ultra high bus speeds when the memory begins to heat up.

So what's under the
pretty heatspreaders? Sometimes manufacturers use heatspreaders to cover up low
quality memory modules, or to hide their super secret high quality memory. Well,
let's rip & strip and find out!

To my
delight, PMI is using Winbond CH-5 chips. These chips are a little rare, and
well known for their incredible overclocking ability. So far, PMI is doing
everything right...
