Steelpad S&S Professional Gaming Mouse Pad

Today we have the S&S, a new mouse pad from Steel developed in cooperation with SK.  In case you did not know SK stands for Schroet Kommando Sweden, a major gaming community and multigaming clan.  Any mouse pad developed by gamers has got to be worth having a look at.  When I received the package the box was wrapped up in plastic and it looked very attractive.  I didn't read the box before I tore the plastic off and I was pleasantly surprised.  I was thinking "Just another darn mouse pad, maybe I should develop one!"  When I opened the box and took out the pad it was in a beautiful case.  My first thought was "That's an awesome idea!"  For gamers that just pick up to go to a buddies house for some fraggin' this is a perfect idea.  I know on my travels I have often worried about ruining my cheap cloth mouse pad.

I opened the case and took out the pad and my first impression was excellent!  I was holding a light, near paper thin, and with it a sleek, ultimate gaming aide.  I couldn't wait to get it on my desk to play some MOHAA online.  I do not have a very big desk and the 12 2/3" x 10 2/3" x 1/12" fit perfectly.  I had to angle my keyboard to fit and it worked a lot better than the conventional straight on keyboard play. The movement in the game was very smooth and I was able to maneuver much more effectively.  When you play a sniper, movement is crucial in order to not give your position away.  This pad did not help my frag count on first try, but after a while it did improve my accuracy.  The number one thing I appreciated is how the pad did not restrict my movement to a small surface area.  A mouse off the pad is like a bum knee when your playing your favorite FPS.

This is a pad developed by professional gamers for professional gamers.  If you have not heard recently there is some big money in gaming so it makes sense that this pad will run you 39.50 + shipping directly from the manufacturers website.  If you crave accuracy and precise movement this pad is definitely for you.  For now, lets take a look at some features and of the Steelpad S&S...
