I-ROCKS X-SLIM EL KEYBOARD
& CROSS-DIRECTION OPTICAL MOUSE

The good people over at PCUSA Corp have just release a couple new products, and we've been testing them out for the past few days. The first item is the X Slim Keyboard with Electron Luminescence. The second item is a Cross-Directional Optical Mouse. Let's take a look at cool goodies and see if they are better than your average keyboard and mouse...

Let's take a look at the keyboard first. We've seen a few luminescent keyboards in the past, so far each one we've tested have turned out to be an outstanding keyboard. As it turns out, this one carries on that tradition. Let's take a look at the specs.

  • X-structure makes it softer and more responsive.
  • Low-profile keystroke features like notebook.
  • Enjoy typing, gaming or surfing the net in a dark environment.
  • Luminescent light with world patent
  • Over 5,000 hours lightening
  • EL Light on/off switch

LED indicators: Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock
Over 10 million keystroke life

  • Compatible with Win ME/2000/XP interface(s): USB, PS/2, USB+PS/2
  • Key number: 104 keys (by language)
  • Dimension: 436mm × 187mm × 30mm
  • Weight: 770g
  • Key operation force: 55+/- 20g

The keyboard layout is similar to that of a notebook keyboard. Even the keystrokes feel like that of a notebook keyboard. I really love the way the keys feel and respond. It actually makes typing enjoyable again. Luminescent keyboards are awesome. Not only do they look cool, they really help when it comes to gaming or typing in the dark. If you don't want the keyboard to glow, there is a little on and off button at the top-right corner. The only problem is with my preference. I prefer to use a full size keyboard or an ergo keyboard. Compact keyboards like this one make my hands and arms cramp us. However, my wife is just the opposite, she hates full size keyboards and loves compact keyboards like this one. In fact she told me if I didn't give the i-rock keyboard to her, she was going to stuff her big keyboard somewhere that sounded really painful...  : )  Not wanting to dare my wife, the i-rock keyboard is hers!
