OCZ Rally Drive
These days everybody seems to have a flash drive on the
market. But not everybody is OCZ Technology. OCZ recently introduced their
first USB 2.0 flash drive into the flash drive battle. With a reputation
for performance and style, OCZ doesn't hesitate to take things to the next level
of performance. Their Rally Drive is no exception bringing Dual Channel
technology into the flash market for the first time. Let's see what this
baby can do!
We received this 512 MB review sample just as the Rally was
released to the market. As a result the drive was shipped without the
retail packaging and accessories. The Rally series also includes both 1
gig and 2 gig variants.
A quick look at the packaging on the website reveals a simple
clam shell design with an emphasis on high performance. OCZ memory also
comes with the best warranty on the market, lifetime!
The retail packaging will also include a USB extension and a
lanyard style strap for easy portability. It also includes a key ring
style mount.
The Rally Drive is one of the smallest flash drives on the
market. The case is primarily made of polished black Aluminum and measures
in at 2 5/8" x 5/8" x 1/4". The simple style and size make my older
JumpDrive look like a toy.
The cap fits snugly over the end for storage and protection.
No space is wasted anywhere that might increase size or weight.
