Cyber Snipa, a
division of Flexiglow, is hard at work expanding their very cool
product line. Today they sent over a new product called "Dog Tags".
Cyber Snipa's product may resemble the military style Dog Tags our brave
soldiers wear around their necks for identification, but resemblance is
as far as it goes. The Cyber Snipa Dog Tags contain a micro USB Flash
Drive and a miniature Swiss Army Knife style tool kit and LED light!

The box contains an
install CD (drivers not needed for Windows2000/XP), User's Manual,
chain, USB Cable, and 1 set of Dog Tags as shown in the picture above.
The Dog Tags are nicely packaged and the User's Manual is easy to
follow.

Even the back of the box explains each and
every function of the Dog Tags.
Up Close

The Dog Tags are made out of sturdy plastic
and plated with what appears to be aluminum.

The USB Flash Drive
is concealed in the 1st Dog Tag and slides out the bottom. The Dog Tags
we received contains a 512mb Flash Drive that has to be one of the
smallest Flash Drives I've seen.

The USB Flash Drive is lighted. Steady means
the drive is powered up and ready and flashing indicates the drive is in
use.

The second Dog Tag
contains a miniature tool kit. The tools include a Philips and standard
screw driver, nail file and pliers. The tools are very small, but may
come in handy for a quick tightening job on a motherboard screw or for
pulling jumpers.
Testing
For
this review I'll be using an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard which is
based on Intel's 975X chipset.

Benchmark

The graph in orange is the Cyber Snipa Dog
Tags benchmark compared to other common devices.
Conclusion
Overall, the Cyber
Snipa Dog Tags puts an innovative twist on USB Flash Drives. The device
is surprising durable and quite handy. I really like how the Flash Drive
is hidden inside one of the Dog Tags. Wearing it around may make you
feel like you're part of an elite special forces unit, but just don't
get caught with it in Airport Security! The Dog Tags make a great gift
giving idea for the young gamer and I expect to see a lot of these
showing up at future LAN parties.
