The retail package is going to have everything you need to get started except for a hard drive and screw-driver. Since this enclosure is intended for full size 3.5" hard drives, a power adapter is provided and required for operation. You'll also get the standard USB cable to connect the N-Series Pro to your PC.

There's also a CD that has more than the usual (useless) Windows 98 USB drivers. You'll find a full version of AVAST Anti-Virus software as well as a demo version of Disk Doctor Pro which is a data recovery utility. In the event that you have lost files and need some advanced recovery help, Eagle also includes a $200 coupon that can be used as a discount for advanced hard drive data recovery.

The User Guide is in PDF format and if you don't already have it, Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader 8.0 to get you on track. There is a printed Quick User Guide which is more than sufficient to get the N Series Pro assembled.

To get a hard drive inside the N-Series Pro, you're going to need a flat-tip (Common) screw driver. There are 8 screws that will need to be loosed/removed - four on each side in the corners of the top and bottom mesh panels. Both the top and bottom panels have to be removed to get a hard drive installed and secured on the chassis of the enclosure.

Once you have all eight screws removed and both mesh sides pulled away, you can get to the plastic chassis of the enclosure.

The printed circuit board is built as one piece with all the exterior and interior connections directly on it. The SATA data and power ports on the hard drive will simply slide and snap into place on the board.

Before we button up the sides (or top and bottom depending on how you use it) we just need to secure the hard drive to the chassis. Eagle has provided five screws (so you can have one extra) that you'll use to mount the hard drive to the chassis using the bottom threads.
