The back of the I
Series is where we find the power and data interface. In an effort to keep
the front of the unit neat and clean, Eagle has put the power switch and the
backup start button on the rear as well. While some users may reuse old
drives, others will probably purchase high capacity/performance drives to
install with the I Series. Either way, hard drives can generate a very
large amount of heat. To help combat that problem, a small 60mm fan has been
fitted to the rear of the unit to provide ventilation. A very welcome feature
considering two drives will be stacked up inside.

To give the I Series
a different look, Eagle includes two different colored faceplates. They are very
easy to remove and install and don't require any tools. Simply pull (or push)
and they slide right out. They are fitted pretty tight so it won't just fall off
when you pick the enclosure up to move it.

To install the drives, all we have to do
is remove four screws from the bottom of the enclosure. That will allow the
chassis to slide out of the case. From there, you just have to mount the drives
to the chassis.
