Design and Layout

The Nexstar3i is very stylish.  It's just a little larger than a full size hard drive, for obvious reasons.  On the rear of the enclosure is the USB port, power port and on/off switch.

Installation

Installation is very simple,  remove two small screws and the back of the device pulls out to expose the SATA port.

Simply attach the hard drive to the port and install four included screws in the reverse side of the hard drive.  Slide the board back into the enclosure and attach two more included screws and you're all set.  There is one small catch, there is a three pin header that the LED wire plugs into.  Don't forget to plug the connector back in before closing up the enclosure.

Plugged in and ready to go.

The Nexstar 3i has three LEDs that let you know what power saving mode it's in.  The options are (starting from the top) Power Down, Standby, and Idle.

If you have any desire to change the default power modes, install the software and have at it.
