The Elite Series Up Close

Shown in the above photo is the rear of the Kingwin Elite Series.
From left to right is the power switch, USB 2.0 port, eSATA port,
the back up button, and the DC In port.

Installation
Installing the hard drive is almost identical to
every other external enclosure. A pair of micro-screws
holding the back plate on and sliding out the drive sled.
Kingwin is using hard drive screws to hold the drive in place. As a
side note, this
is not always the case on some 3rd party low-cost enclosures which
leave the hard drive dangling inside the case. Next you plug in both
the SATA cable as well as the SATA Power Cable and you're just about
ready to roll.
My only pet peeve is not unlike quite a few other
drives I've used, having to "thread" the power light cable under the
sled and a couple inches from being closed, up through the board and
plug into the controller board. Screw it back together and you're on
your way.
While, I'm not going to try to drop the case to
see how far of a fall it takes on tile/carpeting/rugs to break it.
But like I stated earlier, this seems to be one of the strongest
enclosures I've used in recent memory.
