Packaging and Contents

 

The HPL-815EP Low Profile heatsink comes in a plastic bubble package.  It's simple and lets you see exactly what you're getting.

 

The rear of the package gives you the full specs and features of the heatsink. 

 

     Inside the plastic pack you will find everything you need to install the heatsink onto your AMD or Intel CPU.   All of the hardware you need is also included.  You'll find brackets, screws, washers, nuts, clips and thermal grease.  Don't worry, directions are included.

Layout

 

     The HPL-815EP has 4 heat pipes that extend through aluminum fins.  It has a small 80mm fan that can spin up to 4000RPMs.  A small fan, spinning that fast usually equals higher decibal levels.   

 

You can see the four heatpipes transitioning from the base of the heatsink to the finned area.

 

     The base is aluminum and the copper heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU.  It has a nice satin finish, and it appears to be very flat.
