Packaging and Contents

The Hyper 212 comes in a plastic bubble pack wrapped in a very stylish box.

The plastic bubble pack is very similar to the one that Intel uses for its heat sinks.

Inside the plastic pack you will find everything you need to install the Hyper 212 onto your CPU.   All of the hardware you need is also included.  You'll find brackets, backing plates, screws, washers and nuts.  CoolerMaster even throws in some heat sink grease and directions.

Layout

The Hyper 212 has 4 heat pipes that extend through two aluminum sets of fins.  You can have up to two 120mm fans attached to the heat sink to help cool.

The fan is a 120mm x 120mm x 25mm design that rotates at 2200RPMs.  Because of the relative low RPM speed the noise is only 19dBA.

The base is a copper block where the four heatpipes attach.  It has a nice mirror finish, and appears to be very flat.
