Test System

We're nearly to the testing, but let's go over the basics of the test system first.

Hardware Model
Motherboard: ABIT AA8 DuraMAX
CPU: Intel Pentium 4
3.0GHz
LGA-775
Video Card: ABIT Radeon RX600XT-PCIE
Video Card Driver Version: CATALYST Windows XP 4.9
Memory: Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC2-5300

Testing

First off, let's start with some basic motherboard, CPU and memory tests using SiSoft Sandra at default settings.

CPU Arithmetic Benchmark

CPU Multi-Media Benchmark

Memory Bandwidth Benchmark

So far, the default benchmarks have been right on par with what we would expect from a 3GHz CPU. However the memory is much higher. That is because the ABIT AA8 DuraMAX has some cutting edge settings in the bios that optimizes the DDR2, squeezing out every bit of performance possible. Now let's look at some games.
