Maxtop CSF-1630B, up close and personal...

Sixteen 5.25" drive bays! Talk about massive storage capability! Wondering how a person could fill so many drive bays? SCSI baby... Sure, you could fill a couple of the bays with IDE devices, however most of the drive bays are going to be out of reach for standard IDE ribbon cables. This case is designed for the hard core SCSI fanatic who wants to see just how many devices he or she can install before the power supply literally explodes.

The entire front of the case is constructed out of plastic. There is a metal screen screwed into the left access door to help filter out dust, but it does little to reinforce the door. The access doors are a little flimsy, but they do the trick.

Behind the right access door is three 120mm cooling fan bays. The case I received had only one 120mm fan preinstalled. One important fact I must point out is that these fans are not your standard off-the-shelf 120mm fan. These fans are unique to this case as each fan has a special 4-pin connector built into the fan cage. This connector plugs into the case as the cage is snapped into place. Each fan is also electronically monitored by the Maxtop case and even has an indicator light to let you know each fan is working properly.
