Features Continued...

We used a Foxconn 865PE board for the installation. Notice the
lack of a chipset cooler, that's because we want to utilize the full potential
of the V2000's size.

I love Lian Li's for the 2 horizontal 80mm fan arrangement,
which is now located completely separate from the rest of this computer. Our
Danger Den Black Ice Micro II fits right in with no modifications at all. Very
water-cooling friendly...

Using components from
Danger Den we cut our hoses from h2o for the chipset and
FIC 9800 Pro. As soon as we can attain a
decent P4 board that overclocks we'll throw a phase change on the 2.4C and see
if we can hit 4ghz with a little help of a
P4
Mach II CPU kit from CrazyPC.

Filling up our Danger Den bay reservoir, attaching a few more
cables for the floppy drive, and IDE storage and we're almost ready to go. I
cannot illustrate how much easier it is to fit all the componentry into a case
of this size. Remarkably, we didn't need anything longer than regular size IDE,
SATA, or floppy cables, which is the complete opposite of the Lian Li PC-75.
Final Thoughts
Lian Li has outdone itself with a case that is so original in
keeping that modern look. Overall use on the Lian Li for us overclockers is pure
bragging rights, extraordinary heat dissipation, and very quiet use. The Lian Li
dropped 3-7C+ over the previous arrangement from Thermal Take. Having the ability
to cool your whole system with so little noise is also a big plus. I personally
cannot believe how much Lian Li has changed this case compared to its previous
models, yet they didn't trip and fall when it comes to the overall function. A
first impression would have you believe that this kind of case arrangement would
not be beneficial for good case temperatures, but from the numbers displayed by
the four thermal probes placed inside this a false notion. Having this much space is also a big factor that everyone should
take into consideration. It makes working on your system so much easier.
