Features

Removal of the right side panel takes but seconds, and since the rear part of the panel is so easy to remove you wont find yourself getting fingerprints on it. As you can see the Wavemaster has more than enough room for even a dual Opteron or Xeon platform. Six 3 1/2in bays (4 hidden), and four 5 1/4in bays are more than enough for any high-end platform...

Three 80mm Cooler Master fans are located on the rear, and front part of the case. The fronts are intakes, and the rear is used for an exhaust fan. Not really the ultimate in ventilation, but the superior dissipation aspects of aluminum, and the Cooler Master design help in keeping your system cool...

The USB, firewire, and audio headers are labeled clearly and are long enough to hide or sleeve...

I'm not quite sure what the gold colored feet are about but they are a nice touch to the rubber padded legs which will alleviate any scratches to wooden floors.

I like the nice touch of the arrow for those n00bs out there. I find that even I occasionally try and open flush mounted doors the wrong so even I need simple directions. Notice the screws holding the aluminum plates in place. I personally prefer tooled cases over tool-less designs, because I occasionally get a component that won't line up with the tool-less parts that they come with...

Once again thumbscrews are used were screws usually are. This is typical of Cooler Master, Lian Li, and other high quality case manufacturers...

The modular design gives you full freedom in modifying your Wavemaster compared to other cases of this variety...

Final Thoughts

The Cooler Master Wavemaster case is a marvelous and unique design that is more than capable of turning heads at a LAN party or any case competition. One of the key points that should be addressed is the modular capability of the Wavemaster. Just about everything on the case can be taken apart and put back together in seconds with noting more than a screwdriver. This should be an addressing concern to those that like to due extensive modifications for water or phase change cooling, since the more holes there are, the easier it is to install radiators or hoses. Another aspect of the case is it's flawless fit and finish, and cooling capabilities. Everything on it is flush mounted, or rounded for excellent cooling characteristics. Of course the only shortcoming I can possible think of is the questionable CFM of the Cooler Master fans which have no specification on Cooler Master's site. The yare of the sleeve bearing variety which I think is OK for the masses, but I would probably change them out for some ball bearing type. Overlooking the fan issue, the Cooler Master would make a fine case worth the price of approximately $150.00, and with the optional side panel which is available from just about anywhere it is a definite winner in esthetics. ClubOC recommended!!!
