The ultimate surprise has to be the sound dampening material
preinstalled on the inside of the Sileo 500. All this for about $60?
Cooler Master must be out of their minds! Talk about an economic
stimulus package!

Not only do you get sound dampening material on the side covers, but
Cooler Master has even installed it on the bottom and top of the
case.

Here we see the expansion card locking mechanisms from the inside.
The plastic tabs on these locks pop into place, holding the
expansion cards in place.

Cooler Master has also made use of their tool free drive bay locks.
These locks do not require any screws, however you can still add a
couple screws to hard mount your drives. I've seen this feature in
more expensive Cooler Master cases and I have to admit I really love
it.

The 3.5" hard drive bays use a similar locking mechanism, however a
pair of tool free plastic rails are required. Again, these also work
extremely well.
Conclusion
Although the Cooler Master Sileo 500 is a
basic looking case, it's far from generic. Cooler Master has
included some of their best features in this case, while keeping the
retail cost down to about $60. Don't ask me how they can do it, but
Cooler Master has somehow pulled it off. You have to applaud Cooler
Master for delivering a good quality computer case without skimping
on the features. The Sileo 500 is only one of a handful of computer
cases that can deliver both quality and useful features in the $50
to $75 price range. If you're a system builder or you're just
looking for a good quality case without breaking the bank, the Sileo
500 is where you need to look. Club Overclocker Recommended!
