AeroCool Masstige Case Review

     Hardware Installation.....

For the Masstige install, we went with a SLI gaming setup.  The install included a Super Flower 480W modular PSU, two 40 gig Hitachi drives, a Lite-on DVD burner.  We chose an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard containing two BFG 6600 GT OC video cards, 2 x 512 OCZ EL Gold Series RAM and an AMD 3000+ running with an ASUS CRUX CPU cooler.

Installing the power supply requires removing this retention bracket, sliding the power supply into place and then re-attaching the bracket.  Installing the Super Flower, I noticed the space can scratch up a nicely finished unit.  Also a back bracket may keep some of the larger units from working in the space provided.  I tested the space with both an XION and a Hyper Type-R Modular to verify most units should work.

Here we have the ASUS MB installed.  The case is shown here upside down.

Here you see the completed install.   The ASUS motherboard is designed for an ATX install.  The distance from the bottom of the case to the motherboards switches and IDE controllers forced a couple of last minute changes. I was unable to get my IDE cables to reach both internal slots, so I used the included rails to mount them in the front of the case.  Using an AcoustiFan 120 mm for cooling in front covers the drives nicely and also creates a nice cross flow in the CPU area.
