GMC R4 Bulldozer Case Review

While the sample we received is in a more standard
black, the GMC is offered in a range of colors. The box is
also labeled for an optional power supply though we did not receive
on this time out. With a street price starting at about $99
when this was written, the Bulldozer case offers a bit more style
than most of its competition as well.

The Bulldozer has a distinct look unlike anything
else on the market today. Coupled with GMC's front mounted
optical drive you are guaranteed to draw some attention.

The left side of the case is dominated by a
plastic vent structure that also contains a fan controller,
temperature probe and a 80 mm fan. The right side is
completely plain.

The back is dominated by another black 120mm case
fan mounted in a two 80mm venting. The bump up to a 120mm is a
nice touch though a single 120mm exhaust vent would probably have
done as well here. The slot covers are typical punch outs with
top slot open. The case accessories include an extra cover for
installations with a different video card spacing. Looking
back at the other R series cases, it looks like GMC may be using the
same core chassis design for all the models.

Taking a closer look at the left side reveals the
cabling from the fan controller/temperature probe and the side 80mm
fan. The setup requires a single 12V connector and acts as a
pass through if needed.
